What is a Periodontist?
A periodontist is a specialized dentist focused on the soft tissues of the mouth and the supporting jawbone. Their expertise extends to preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions such as gingivitis, periodontitis, and bone loss, which are leading causes of tooth loss in adults. Through procedures like implant placement, osteoplasty, and deep pocket cleanings, periodontists restore oral health and aesthetics, ensuring patients maintain healthy, beautiful smiles.
